The Milwaukee M18 FRCN45-0X 18V FUEL Brushless Roofing Coil Nailer from ITS is an incredibly versatile nail gun; providing a cordless option to roofing and exterior contractors.
Offering optimised performance, best-in-class runtime, unmatched versatility and trade recognised technology, the M18 FRCN45 offers a wealth of features to make your exterior jobs go smoothly.
On a single 3.0Ah M18 Battery, this nail gun is capable of firing off up to 1100 nails. It accepts coil nails ranging from 19 mm up to 45 mm with a 3 mm diameter and a head diameter from 10.1 mm to 10.5 mm with a 15 degree pitch (± 1°).
The nailer includes Milwaukee’s own Ready to Fire Nail Technology which eliminates ramp-up time between each nail discharge. The dual mode selection lets you decide to choose either sequential fire for precision or bump fire for speed with a fire rate of up to 6 nails per second.
For ease of use, the Milwaukee 18V Nail Gun includes a tool-free, quick and easy depth adjustment to assure nails are driven perfectly every time. For your safety, the Dry-Fire lockout prevents the M18 FRCN45 form being fired when the magazine is empty.
This powerful tool includes three of Milwaukee’s exclusive technologies all for your benefit. The POWERSTATE Brushless motor helps maintaining the tool and ensures a longer operational life; the REDLITHIUM Battery packs which provide exceptional power for longer; and the REDLINK PLUS overload protection – maximising the power you need when you need it.

According to Milwaukee, FUEL is 4 times as powerful! The POWERSTATE brushless motor delivers more application speed, torque and durability in a more compact form. It also produces less noise and cools down quicker to deliver years of maintenance free performance.

This is very much a specialist professional nailer rather than an allrounder. Sometimes known as a roofing nailer. The biggest advantage coil nailers have over most other nail guns is their ability to carry more nails in the magazine. Often around 200! If you are up on a roof where you're most likely to need one of these, not having to climb back down the ladder every 2 minutes to refill your nail gun is a big advantage.
These guns also fire a more specialist type of nail. These nails generally have large round heads suitable for fixing down roofing felt or other sheet material. Coil nailers are also being used more and more for fixing cement fibre boards (Hardieboard, Hardieplank).
Nails commonly range in size from around 19mm to 50mm and are also normally available in a range of materials such as galvanised, hot dipped galvanised or even stainless steel. So if rust is something you need to prevent, simply select the right nail for the job you're working on.
