The Bosch GMP 1-13 Professional Material Moisture Meter from ITS is a pin-based material moisture meter designed to give fast, reliable readings of moisture content in wood and building materials.
Using two metal pins, it penetrates the surface to measure internal moisture levels across 37 selectable wood species and 10 building materials, so you get context-specific results rather than one generic reading.
Its durable construction and jobsite-ready features make it ideal for carpenters, plasterers, flooring installers, and restoration professionals.
Readings appear clearly on a high-contrast colour TFT LCD (2.0", 240×320 px), with support for up to 36 interface languages. An adjustable threshold (moisture limit) scale helps you interpret if a material is too damp for finishing (painting, flooring, etc.).
For accuracy, the GMP 1-13 runs an automatic self-test each time you power it on, verifying proper function before taking measurements.
Built to take site abuse, the housing is rubber-reinforced and rated IP65 for protection against dust and splashing water. It operates over –20 °C to +50 °C ambient, and powers via two AA (LR6) batteries (included).
In practice, you can use the GMP 1-13 to: check delivered wood for dryness before installation, detect damp spots behind plaster or finishes, verify moisture in bricks or blocks, and make condition assessments before painting, tiling or flooring.
