The DUX60 incorporates active feedback sensing technology (AFT) which will shut down the tool if the rotation speed suddenly drops such as when it hits an obstruction, as well as when you are changing the tool attachments.
Thanks to the brushless motor, the Multi Function Head delivers a 3 speed selection as well as variable speed control by trigger. The low vibration tool delivers a no load speed of 0-5700/8200/9700.
Along with Overload protection, an electronic brake, variable speed control and soft start, this is the start of something brilliant for your garden. Simple and easy to use one touch LED display system that allows the user to control the speed of the unit at the touch of a button.

Makita's AFT is a Smart function to minimise the effect of kick-back. AFT will Shut down the tool, if the rotation speed suddenly slows down (e.g., kick-back). Active Feedback sensing Technology uses an on-board accelerometer to measure rotation and electronically turns off the motor if rotation is suddenly forced to stop. In addition, the torque limiting clutch is engineered to prevent gear damage by automatically disengaging the gears.
