The STABILA NL Levelling Rod from ITS is built precisely for that purpose. Made of anodised aluminium, it combines durability with lightweight design so it’s robust even with heavy, repeated use, yet portable enough to carry from job to job.

One of the standout benefits is how well it handles deviations. With this rod you can quickly read height differences of ± 50 cm relative to your reference plane - so for example if your laser plane varies above or below your baseline by up to half a metre, you’ll still get accurate data.

That makes it ideal when your working range is broad, or where terrain or setup causes significant height changes. The printed millimetre‐scale ensures precision: every millimetre counts in levelling, and this rod gives you fine graduations for exact measurement.

For convenience, the NL comes with adjustment sliders. These allow you to fine-tune the height quickly, without fuss. No more wrestling or estimating - just slide, adjust, read. And when it comes to size, you’ll appreciate that it extends up to 240 cm, giving you reach when you need it; but it cleverly folds/compacts (transport height approx. 130 cm) so storing or moving it is easy.

The functional range for reading deviations is optimised between about 80 cm and 190 cm, which matches most working heights for laser and receiver setups.
