The Megger MFT1721-BS 100V/250V/500V/1000V 3 Phase Multifunction Tester from ITS is a professional multifunction tester designed for low voltage electrical installation testing to BS7671, giving electricians and other tradesmen a dependable solution for industrial, commercial and domestic fixed wiring certification.
Built for both single phase and 3 phase installations, this Megger multifunction tester delivers TRMS system voltage and frequency measurement, insulation testing at 100V, 250V, 500V and 1000V, continuity resistance testing at 200mA or 15mA, earth loop testing, prospective fault current measurement up to 20kA, and comprehensive RCD testing in one compact unit.
The MFT1721-BS is ideal for fast, repeatable testing on site thanks to its 2 and 3 wire non trip loop testing for RCD protected circuits, 2 wire high current L N testing from 50V to 280V, and 2 wire phase to phase L L testing from 48V to 500V, making it especially useful for wider installation testing demands.
For insulation and continuity work, the tester includes input protection against live circuits up to 600V, even when insulation testing is locked on, while visible and audible warnings help protect the user when hazardous voltage is present.
RCD capability is equally comprehensive, with support for Type AC, A and S RCDs, programmable RCDs, auto RCD test routines, touch voltage display, 30mA, 100mA, 300mA and 500mA RCD testing, plus 3 phase RCD testing with no earth, making this an excellent option for more advanced installation verification.
The large backlit display uses Megger’s digital analogue arc to show fluctuating readings clearly, while the dual digital readout displays precise results and test parameters at the same time, helping you work more accurately and with greater confidence.
Colour coded rotary switches keep range selection quick and simple, and the automatic start function means there is no need to press test during continuity checks, leaving both hands free to hold probes in place when working in awkward positions.
Built for demanding environments, the MFT1721-BS features a tough IP54 rated case, rubber over mould for extra grip and protection, CAT IV 300V and CAT III 600V safety rating, and a robust moulded carry case for reliable transport and storage between jobs.
