The Makita HR009GZ01 40V XGT Brushless SDS+ Drill from ITS is an intensely powerful 3-mode hammer drill that produces 3.9Joules of impact energy.
This incredibly powerful tool has a range of features that are not only designed to keep you safe, but also to ensure your work area is as clean as possible.
The drill, thanks in part to the brushless motor, not only produces 3.9J of impact energy but also delivers 4500blows per minute along with a rotation no load speed of 840rpm. It has a maximum drill capacity of 80mm in concrete (diamond core), 32mm in wood and 13mm in steel.
The drill includes 3 mode operation (Rotation only, Hammering only or Rotation & Hammering), as well as Electric Brake, Anti-Restart function, and torque limiter for your safety and the safety of the drill.
As well as Variable speed control, LED Job light, the drill incorporates a number of unique Makita technologies to aid your work.
The Auto-Start Wireless System (AWS) lets you connect to a compatible dust extractor with Bluetooth, this lets the dust extractor automatically run when the switch is on.
Active Feedback Sensing Technology (AFT) which shuts down the tool to protect the user if the rotation speed suddenly slows down.
Anti-Vibration Technology (AVT) works by transferring air around a series of chambers which, in turn, pushes a counterbalance in the opposite direction to the piston, thereby cancelling out the vibration the piston would have created otherwise.
At the heart of this is the brushless motor that allows you to use it efficiently. As part of the design, the tool utilizes every bit of battery power when you need, all while reducing the need for ongoing maintenance by reducing the amount of heat generated and working more efficiently.
The technology in creating a brushless motor system allows for perfect symmetry between battery power and usage ensuring you get all the power you need, when you need it.

Makita's AFT is a Smart function to minimise the effect of kick-back. AFT will Shut down the tool, if the rotation speed suddenly slows down (e.g., kick-back). Active Feedback sensing Technology uses an on-board accelerometer to measure rotation and electronically turns off the motor if rotation is suddenly forced to stop. In addition, the torque limiting clutch is engineered to prevent gear damage by automatically disengaging the gears.

AVT is designed to reduce vibrations normally transmitted to the operator. These vibrations induce fatigue, accidents and long term injuries (RSI) etc. AVT - saves time, money and compliance costs without reducing efficiency. Makita used the science of earthquake engineering to introduce the safest heavy-duty power tools available with vibration ratings nearly 50% lower than comparable products.

Makita’s AWS (Auto-Start Wireless System) uses Bluetooth technology for intelligent communication between your tools to eliminate cords, increase performance and reduce dust. Once connected via AWS, your dust extractor will automatically power on or off when your cordless tool starts or stops, running only when your cordless tool is in use. Using Makita's cordless LXT dust extractors with a AWS compatible extracto means no more re-plugging the cord.
