The Knipex 97 53 18 Twistor16 Self Adjusting Crimping Pliers from ITS are engineered for fast, precise and repeatable crimping of wire ferrules across a wide range of cable sizes.
They are designed for professional electricians who need reliable crimp quality from almost any working position, including confined or awkward installation spaces.
These crimping pliers automatically adjust to wire ferrules from 0.14mm² to 16mm², removing the need for manual setting and eliminating crimping errors caused by incorrect size selection.
The square crimp profile delivers secure mechanical and electrical connections in accordance with DIN46228 parts 1 and 4.
A key feature of the Twistor16 design is the rotatable crimping die, which can be rotated through 360° with 8 positive locking positions.
This allows wire ferrules to be crimped from either side and from almost any angle, significantly improving access in control panels and tight enclosures.
The tool is capable of crimping twin wire ferrules up to 2x6mm², as well as longer ferrules by using the open sided crimp access for a second crimping stroke.
A factory calibrated ratchet mechanism ensures consistently high crimp quality by only releasing once the correct crimping pressure has been reached, with the option to unlock and readjust if required.
High leverage toggle action reinforces manual force while keeping hand effort low, and the compact 200mm length improves handling and balance.
The crimping pliers are manufactured from oil hardened chrome vanadium electric steel to ensure durability and long service life under repeated professional use.
Ergonomically shaped multi component handles provide excellent grip security and comfort, even during extended crimping work.
