The Megger MFT X-1 - True Loop Impedance Measurement Multifunction Tester from ITS is a next generation multifunction tester designed for electrical installation testing across single phase and 3 phase domestic, commercial and industrial systems, giving electricians and other tradesmen a powerful solution for commissioning, routine maintenance, reporting, certification and fault diagnosis.
Built to CATIV300V, the MFT X-1 introduces Megger True Loop testing with patented Confidence Meter technology, delivering enhanced loop impedance measurement with fast, stable and repeatable results even in high noise conditions or close to the source of supply.
This advanced loop testing system also reduces the risk of RCD uplift while helping cut typical non trip loop test times to around 7 seconds, even on circuits protected by 6mA or 10mA protective devices.
This multifunction tester is built for broad site use, with voltage measurement from 0.001V to 600V AC and up to 1000V DC, automatic phase sequence testing on valid three phase supplies, continuity and resistance measurement, insulation testing from 50V to 1000V DC with variable 50V steps to 999V, RCD testing, earth testing and optional current measurement using the Megger MCC1010 clamp.
For even greater accuracy, the MFT X-1 uses stabilised insulation test voltage, delivering output voltage accuracy to within +2% +2 digits rather than the more typical +20%, helping provide more precise insulation testing without the risk of over voltage damage to circuits or sensitive components.
The high resolution loop impedance testing function adds accurate measurements down to 0.001Ω, with PFC and PSCC current calculation up to 50kA, making this a serious diagnostic tool for professional electrical testing.
Designed for modern workflows, the MFT X-1 is CertSuite compatible with Bluetooth result transfer, allowing test results to be tagged in the instrument and transferred directly for certification and reporting through the CertSuite app and cloud based platform.
The user interface is built around a high contrast 480 x 272 full colour TFT bonded display with a monochrome black on white mode for difficult lighting conditions, while the colour coded test selection dial is mirrored on screen for easy navigation.
Hot keys across the top of the display and the second control dial make feature selection simple, even when wearing protective gloves.
For flexibility on site, the MFT X-1 uses a fast switch rechargeable plug in 4Ah Li ION battery pack and can also be used with an AA alkaline battery carrier module, giving you a practical choice between rechargeable and replaceable power options.
The instrument is supplied in a rugged weather proof carry case with a complete lead set to tackle modern electrical connection challenges, all within an IP54 operational housing.
