The Makita UE001GZ 40V XGT Brushless Edger from ITS is the ideal tool for trimming lawns edges and flowerbed edges in gardens, pathways and more.
Perfect for getting a perfect cut line along edges, hence the name, this essential tool for landscapers and gardeners is perfect for home and professional working.
Thanks to the inclusion of the brushless motor, the Makita edger delivers a similar output to a 30cm³ engine version. For comfortable working, the edger is IPX4 rated to let you work in damp conditions while the guard protects you from grass cuttings flying up towards your face. However, the guard still gives you good visibility of the blade.
With soft start, variable speed control, and an anti-restart function in case of loss of power, the UE001G also benefits from Makita’s Active Feedback Sensing Technology (AFT) which shuts down the tool to protect the user if the blade speed suddenly slows down or stops.
The edger offers a maximum cut depth of up to 59mm along with 4800rpm no load speed. Incredibly low vibration lets you work longer without the worry of feeling fatigue from creeping in.
At the heart of this edger is the brushless motor that allows you to use the tool efficiently. As part of the design, the tool utilizes every bit of battery power when you need, all while reducing the need for ongoing maintenance.
The technology in creating a brushless motor system allows for perfect symmetry between battery power and usage ensuring you get all the power you need, when you need it.

Active Feedback sensing Technology uses an on-board accelerometer to measure rotation and electronically turns off the motor if rotation is suddenly forced to stop. In addition, the torque limiting clutch is engineered to prevent gear damage by automatically disengaging the gears.
