The Makita HS011GZ 40V XGT Brushless 270mm Circular Saw from ITS is a versatile and precision cutting tool.
Thanks to the inclusion of the brushless motor, this saw delivers a performance level that is similar (if not superior) to a corded machine.
The saw has been designed for precision rip cutting of 3-1/2"(89mm) thick 4 x timber and is capable of bevel cuts 1° left and 60° right. Directly compatible with guide rails, the saw can be directly connected to a dust extractor for efficient dust and debris removal. Furthermore, the Auto-Start Wireless System (AWS) lets you connect to a compatible dust extractor with Bluetooth, this lets the dust extractor automatically run when the switch is on.
The saw features a lock off function, soft start, electric brake and anti-restart function for your safety. With constant speed control as well as twin LED job lights with pre-glow and afterglow functions, this is certainly a capable saw for working over longer periods. To further enhance the safety features of the saw, it also incorporates Active Feedback Sensing Technology (AFT) which shuts down the tool to protect the user if the rotation speed suddenly slows down.
The HS011GZ produces 3500rpm no load speed, has a maximum cut depth of 101mm, 71mm at 45°, and 51mm at 60°.
At the heart of this is the brushless motor that allows you to use it efficiently. As part of the design, the tool utilizes every bit of battery power when you need, all while reducing the need for ongoing maintenance by reducing the amount of heat generated and working more efficiently.
The technology in creating a brushless motor system allows for perfect symmetry between battery power and usage ensuring you get all the power you need, when you need it.

Makita's AFT is a Smart function to minimise the effect of kick-back. AFT will Shut down the tool, if the rotation speed suddenly slows down (e.g., kick-back). Active Feedback sensing Technology uses an on-board accelerometer to measure rotation and electronically turns off the motor if rotation is suddenly forced to stop. In addition, the torque limiting clutch is engineered to prevent gear damage by automatically disengaging the gears.
MAKTIA AWS
Makita’s AWS (Auto-Start Wireless System) uses Bluetooth technology for intelligent communication between your tools to eliminate cords, increase performance and reduce dust. Once connected via AWS, your dust extractor will automatically power on or off when your cordless tool starts or stops, running only when your cordless tool is in use. Using Makita's cordless LXT dust extractors with a AWS compatible extracto means no more re-plugging the cord.
