They say ‘all good things come in small packages’ and the Makita DMC300Z 18V LXT Brushless 76mm Compact Disc Cutter from ITS is no exception to that rule.
With a maximum grinding and cutting depth of 16mm, this versatile cutter is ideal for quick jobs such as cutting sheet metal or thin pipes. Rather uniquely, the direction of the rotation can be changed to suit the job at hand (Please note that when used with a diamond blade, the direction of rotation is determined by the blade).
Thanks to the inclusion of the brushless motor, the Makita DMC300 produces up to 20,000rpm no load speed. The cutter also includes a soft start along with electronic brake for your safety. To further enhance the safety features of the tool, it also incorporates Active Feedback Sensing Technology (AFT) which shuts down the tool to protect the user if the rotation speed suddenly slows down.
Supplied with a dedicated dust extraction hood, the cutter can be connected to an external dust extractor to remove dust and small debris at the point of cutting to ensure a clean as well as healthy work environment. The soft grip offers a comfortable hold while the overload protection system protects both battery and cutter.

Makita's AFT is a Smart function to minimise the effect of kick-back. AFT will Shut down the tool, if the rotation speed suddenly slows down (e.g., kick-back). Active Feedback sensing Technology uses an on-board accelerometer to measure rotation and electronically turns off the motor if rotation is suddenly forced to stop. In addition, the torque limiting clutch is engineered to prevent gear damage by automatically disengaging the gears.
