Aluminium base for stable cutting performance, soft-start for precise accurate cutting performance, rail-forward design allows the rear of the machine to be placed close to the wall, single sliding system enables smooth operation to produce superior cuts. Automatic Torque Drive Technology (ADT) automatically adjusts the cutting speed according to load conditions.
Boasting a max 4400rpm no load speed ensuring a perfectly smooth and accurate cut, the 260mm diameter blade delivers an impressive 68mm max depth of cut at 90°, 42mm max depth of cut at 45° with an equally impressive 310mm max cross cut capacity.
A quick release bevel setting provides accurate and simple setting of bevel angles up to 48° left and right, the mitre lock function makes mitre setting faster and easier allowing quick adjustments of angles between 0-60° Left & 0-60° Right providing maximum versatility.
At the heart of the Saw is the brushless motor that allows you to use the tool efficiently. As part of the design, the tool utilizes every bit of battery power when you need, all while reducing the need for ongoing maintenance by reducing the amount of heat generated and working more efficiently.
The technology in creating a brushless motor system allows for perfect symmetry between battery power and usage ensuring you get all the power you need, when you need it.
The Makita BL18120B 12.0Ah 18V LXT Li-Ion Battery from ITS uses Makita's optimum charging system which produces 430% more runtime, and 2x more cycles over the lifetime of the batteries.
A 5x lower self-discharge keeps the battery cells active and ready for use even after long periods of storage, charging at any time will have no effect on the battery.
Built-in shock absorbing features protect the battery and sixteen firm holding contact terminals reduce the risk of power loss/fluctuation in high vibration work environments.
The battery's built-in memory chip communicates with the charger to maximize battery life using 3 Active Controls (Current, Voltage & Thermal).
With no memory effect, Lithium-Ion batteries can be "topped up" at any time with no affect to battery life
