The Makita DHP489Z 18V LXT Brushless Combi Drill from ITS is a powerhouse tool that is both impressive and reliable.
Well balanced, and full of features, this combi drill is incredibly versatile. With 2 mechanical gears, electric brake, and dual-rotation modes, this drill delivers up to 1800rpm no load speed, and up to 27,000bpm.
The soft grip handle allows for comfortable use over extended periods, while the LED light brightens up your work area. The drill is equipped with a battery protection circuit to prevent any damages from over-discharge, overload and high temperatures.
The speed of rotation is comfortably controlled by the trigger which allows for variable speeds, while the 13mm single sleeve keyless chuck allows for easy bit installation/removal by one hand.
The DHP489Z 18V LXT Brushless Combi Drill is certainly a capable drill all while being beautifully compact, with a maximum drill capacity in wood of 38mm, 13mm in metal and 16mm in masonry. It offers 21 torque settings with a maximum fastening torque of 73Nm and a keyless chuck capacity of 1.5-13mm.
To ensure a long operational life, as well as the brushless motor, the DHP489Z includes metal gear housing allowing it to deal with a huge range of tasks. To further enhance the safety features of the tool, it also incorporates Active Feedback Sensing Technology (AFT) which shuts down the tool to protect the user if the rotation speed suddenly slows down.

Active Feedback sensing Technology uses an on-board accelerometer to measure rotation and electronically turns off the motor if rotation is suddenly forced to stop. In addition, the torque limiting clutch is engineered to prevent gear damage by automatically disengaging the gears.
