The Makita DCU180 18V LXT Brushless Wheelbarrow from ITS is a versatile and hard-working tool that will make you think that you should’ve bought one years ago.
In the most basic terms, this is a battery-powered, motorised, 2-speed wheelbarrow. With a payload capacity of 130kg, the wheelbarrow includes a range of features to make it easier to move loads around the worksite with ease.
Capable of either 1.5km/h or 3.5km/h (gentle walk or fast walking speed), this versatile mobile device is capable of climbing up a 12° angle – straight up to the side of a skip.
With a soft start, reverse gear, and constant speed control, this handle can be to set to one of 3 positions while a brake lever with locking mechanism are neatly placed alongside.
The durable rear wheels include a stopper, can be detached and replaced with standing lens if required. Also, if needed, the width of the wheels can be adjusted from 480mm up to 760mm to offer better stability with larger loads.
On the front is a bright LED work light (yes, a head lamp) lets you see in front of you when lighting is poor while the handle can be folded down for compact storage.
At the heart of this tool is the brushless motor that allows you to use it efficiently. As part of the design, the barrow utilizes every bit of battery power when you need, all while reducing the need for ongoing maintenance by reducing the amount of heat generated and working more efficiently.
