The Makita CS002GZ 40V XGT Brushless 185mm Metal Cutting Saw from ITS is a powerful saw designed specifically for cutting metal.
The surprisingly compact saw includes a range of safety features to keep you safe, including an anti-restart function and soft start. Makita’s Active Feedback Sensing Technology (AFT) shuts down the tool to protect the user if the rotation speed suddenly slows down.
With a lock off function, electric brake and constant speed control, the saw also includes dust collection control to prevent sparks and shards flying around.
With a no load speed of 3500rom, the saw is capable of offering a maximum cut depth of 67mm. A useful twin LED job light with pre-glow and after glow functions ensure that you can clearly see the cut line.
At the heart of this tool is the brushless motor that allows you to use it efficiently. As part of the design, the barrow utilizes every bit of battery power when you need, all while reducing the need for ongoing maintenance by reducing the amount of heat generated and working more efficiently.
The technology in creating a brushless motor system allows for perfect symmetry between battery power and usage ensuring you get all the power you need, when you need it.

Makita's AFT is a Smart function to minimise the effect of kick-back. AFT will Shut down the tool, if the rotation speed suddenly slows down (e.g., kick-back). Active Feedback sensing Technology uses an on-board accelerometer to measure rotation and electronically turns off the motor if rotation is suddenly forced to stop. In addition, the torque limiting clutch is engineered to prevent gear damage by automatically disengaging the gears.
