The Makita BL1815 1.5Ah 18V LXT Li-Ion Battery from the ITS use Makita's optimum charging system which produces 430% more runtime, and 2x more cycles over the lifetime of the batteries.
A 5x lower self-discharge keeps the battery cells active and ready for use even after long periods of storage, charging at any time will have no effect on the battery.
Built-in shock absorbing features protect the battery and sixteen firm holding contact terminals reduce the risk of power loss/fluctuation in high vibration work environments.
The battery's built-in memory chip communicates with the charger to maximize battery life using 3 Active Controls (Current, Voltage & Thermal).
With no memory effect, Lithium-Ion batteries can be "topped up" at any time with no affect to battery life.
The Makita DC18SD 18V LXT Battery Charger from ITS uses a CPU to communicate with the batteries built in memory chip during a charge cycle, which analyses the data stored in the battery chip to decide on the best charging method at that time. This innovative technology results in longer battery life.
Built in sounds on the DC18SD let you know charging status and completion while Makita’s Forced Air Cooling Fan technology cools the battery during charging by forcing cool air through the units built-in air vents prolonging the life of the battery.
