The Hikoki SB3608DAW4Z 36V MULTI VOLT Brushless Belt Sander from ITS is as easy and controllable to use yet delivers the same performance as a corded machine.
When compared to other corded belt sanders in a similar class, the SD3608DA can outperform its rivals with ease as well with the added benefit of being cordless.
Thanks to the inclusion of the 36V Brushless motor, this impressively powerful saw utilises Multi-Volt technology that delivers corded power tool performance levels in a cordless body.
The sander offers 5-stag variable speed control which is chosen via a convenient speed dial to provide precise control and allowing you to adapt to differing materials. The variable speed dial has five speed settings and Auto Mode, which can produce 2.0 up to 7.5m/s. The Auto Mode changes the speed depending on the load, lowering vibration and noise during no-load operation.
The compact design with an overall width of 150mm improves the left-and-right weight distribution, resulting in better manoeuvrability. The SB3608DA is also just as easy to sand edges with.
Accepting 76mm x 533mm sanding belts, they can be changed without the need for any additional tools, while dust and debris are efficiently deposited into the supplied dust bag thereby ensuring that your work area stays clean as well as free from dust.
At the heart of this tool is the brushless motor that allows you to use it efficiently. As part of the design, the barrow utilizes every bit of battery power when you need, all while reducing the need for ongoing maintenance by reducing the amount of heat generated and working more efficiently.

Sander is great powerful works exactly like a belt sander should, my only gripe is the battery consumption I've gradually been going over to multivolt after being a hikoki user for years now, but running the Sander for 10mins before battery is fully drained and also over heated is great. Thereisn't any recommended battery size on the site to give a guideline as to required size but I can assure you its not the 5.0ah
I can only assume that I'm going to need the 8.0ah or probably 2 8.0ah to keep the Sander power hunger satisfied.
Please IT list battery size compatibility when selling the bare units as the new multivolt batteries aren't cheap at around £130 for 1x 8.0ah so if 2 are required thats getting upto nearly £500 pound for a belt sander.

Incredibly effective belt sander. Took off a decade of built up glue and grime from 1m^2 in about 5 minutes with only the included 80 grit paper.
