The Hikoki NT1865DMAJYZ 18V Brushless Angled Second Fix Nail Gun from ITS is a 34° finish nailer for 15 gauge / 1.8 mm finish nails.
The lightweight and surprisingly compact nail gun doesn’t need to use air for its operation meaning you get complete freedom of movement as well as saving on the cost of fuel cells.
The air/spring drive system means less recoil, better flush driving and easier maintenance while the selective activation button lets you choose between sequential or bump mode firing. The Air Spring Drive System with compressed air for zero ramp-up time, low recoil and consistent high power for fast work progress as well as easy maintenance
When the magazine is empty, the Dry-Fir Lock Out system prevents work surfaces from being damaged by blank shots.
The driving depth of the nails can be adjusted easily and without the need for additional tools. The same is true to releasing jams – no tools required.
The Hikoki NT1865DMA is perfectly balanced with the centre of gravity located close to the handle resulting in comfortable operation. The rubber coating on the handle allows for relaxed control of the nailer.
A bright LED work light lets you clearly the area you’re working in for the precise placement of the nail gun on the work materials.
At the heart of this nailer is the brushless motor that allows you to use the tool efficiently. What is a Brad Nailer?
Brad nailers are most likely the most popular type of nailer, often referred to as either "2nd Fix" or "Finishing" nailers. These nailers fire "Brad Nails", which are heavier in gauge (Diameter), than pin nailers. Brad nails also tend to have a small head, and sometines a serrated shank. as a result, brad nails tend to have considerably more holding power than pins. Most common uses include things like attaching skirting boards, door trims, heavier mouldings or furniture assembly work.
You will also see both "Straight" and "Angled" versions of brad nailers available and it can be a bit of a head-scratcher deciding which may be best for you.
Angled nailers can get into corners far more easily which can be a huge advantage depending on the application but can be a little more restrictive in terms of the sizes of nails they can fire (EG 32mm to 64mm), straight nailers may struggle to get right into that corner, but will normally give you more nail size options, often being able to fire nails from a shorter starting point, (eg. 16m to 64mm).
Although Brad nailers fire a heavier gauge nail than pin nailers, the hole they leave behind on the workpiece is still relatively small and easy to fill for a great finish.
Brad nails most commonly have a gauge of around 16-18.
