Ideal for a massive range of tasks and trades, from electricians, mechanical works, to builders, carpenters and general contractors, the DCD799 is versatile enough to provide an effective and essential service to almost all trades.
From the tip of the chuck to the rear of the drill, it only measures 164mm making it one of the most compact 18V combi drills to date. Yet despite it’s compact size, it doesn’t scrimp on the its durability or versatility.
The Dewalt DCD799 features an all metal transmission which supports increased power as well as performance levels while the updated brushless motor ensures better efficiency as well as faster application speeds.
In fact, thanks to the brushless motor, the drill delivers an impressive 1650rpm no load speed along with 74Nm / 552 UWO*. The 13mm heavy duty chuck ensures increased durability and bit retention under load.
An ergonomic grip with ribbed rubberization ensures a comfortable grip over a longer period of time while the overall size allows the drill to be used in more confined locations.
At the heart of this Dewalt drill is the brushless motor that ensures highest performance, more running time and maximum service life. Unlike carbon brush motors, the brushless motor is not subject to any wear and is therefore maintenance-free.
The technology in creating a brushless motor system allows for perfect symmetry between battery power and usage ensuring you get all the power you need, when you need it.
*"UWO" on a drill stands for "Unit Watts Out," which is a measurement of a drill's power output, essentially indicating how much combined torque and speed it can deliver at its peak performance; the higher the UWO, the more powerful the drill is considered to be, especially when comparing drills with different torque ratings.
