This was a replacement for a bow-handled jigsaw with a tilting base because I wanted greater accuracy.
The fixed base, adjustable blade guide, barrel handle and soft start all add up to the Bosch GST 1V-155 SC being precise and easy to handle. I do not have large hands (size 7) and I am comfortable with the barrel handle design that I find much easier to steer than a bow handled tool.
The LED light illuminates the cut line very well and the blower keeps it clear of sawdust.
The lack of a bevel function does not concern me as I use a track saw for straight bevel cuts and I do not need to make curved bevel cuts.
All in all I am very happy with this tool that is a very big advance on my previous one.

This is my first jigsaw, and I’m really pleased with it. The barrel grip feels comfortable and gives great control, even when cutting upside down. Blade changes are quick, and the cuts are clean and precise. The LED light is handy too.
