The TJEP VF1664 cordless gas angled brad nailer is fantastic option for any tool bag, with a distinctive angled magazine designed specifically for working in corners and tight spaces, the VF1664 gas angled brad nailer is ideal for door stops, tongue & groove panelling, architraves, window casing, skirting boards, MDF fixing, beading and a host of other applications.
Utilising 16 gauge 20° angled brad nails, a 32mm to 64mm nail range with a 100 nail capacity, the mini fuel cell drives up to 1100 shots per cell, 8000 shots per battery charge, sequential operation has a cycle rate of 2-3 nails per second for limited periods, the normal firing rate is up to 1000 nails per hour, 4000 per day.
It features an easy loading rear load magazine, tool free drive depth adjustment providing precise control of depth, nail lockout preventing firing of blanks minimising workpiece damage, No-mark contact with sight lines aiding accurate placement preventing the need for additional fixings, quick release nose allowing easy access in the unlikely event of jamming.
The compact 2.2kg design of the VF1664 features a smaller, lighter shell making it comfortable and balanced, ideal for use on site, whilst the reversible belt hook, ergonomic soft grip handle and soft trigger provides maximum comfort reducing user fatigue and providing greater tool control.

What is a Brad Nailer?
Brad nailers are most likely the most popular type of nailer, often referred to as either "2nd Fix" or "Finishing" nailers. These nailers fire "Brad Nails", which are heavier in gauge (Diameter), than pin nailers. Brad nails also tend to have a small head, and sometines a serrated shank. as a result, brad nails tend to have considerably more holding power than pins. Most common uses include things like attaching skirting boards, door trims, heavier mouldings or furniture assembly work.
You will also see both "Straight" and "Angled" versions of brad nailers available and it can be a bit of a head-scratcher deciding which may be best for you.
Angled nailers can get into corners far more easily which can be a huge advantage depending on the application but can be a little more restrictive in terms of the sizes of nails they can fire (EG 32mm to 64mm), straight nailers may struggle to get right into that corner, but will normally give you more nail size options, often being able to fire nails from a shorter starting point, (eg. 16m to 64mm).
Although Brad nailers fire a heavier gauge nail than pin nailers, the hole they leave behind on the workpiece is still relatively small and easy to fill for a great finish.
Brad nails most commonly have a gauge of around 16-18.
