The Mafell MT55 18M 148V Brushless Plunge Saw from ITS is the jack of all trades within the cordless arena.
It can execute plunge, parting, bevel and angled cuts with supreme precision and without any tearing. The build quality, ease of setup, accuracy and freedom of a cordless power tool makes this plunge saw a joy to use. The MT 55 18M incorporates several unique features to produce a very versatile power tool. The saw has a unique pre score function to eliminate breakout on laminated material.
Extremely fine cutting depth adjustment, the cutting depth can be set with millimetre precision and adjusted to take into account blade wear after sharpening. The maximum cutting depth off the rail is 57mm at 90° (40.5mm at 45°), the maximum cutting depth on the rail is 51mm at 90° (34.5mm at 45°)
The enclosed saw blade guarding ensures very little dust escapes (dust bag supplied). When connected to a suitable vacuum, extraction is highly efficient. In addition, the guard design makes blade changing super fast.
When it comes to bevel cuts, the main body of the saw is supported by quadrants front and back. There are preset stops at 0° and 45°, which can be overridden to cut -1° or 48°. The -1° undercut facility is great for perfect butt joints.
For carpenters and joiners, in the workshop or out on site, the MT 55 18M performs exceedingly well as a plunge cutting saw, on or off a guide rail. It is compatible with Mafell guide rails and certain other brands.
