The Makita 40V MAX XGT Brushless Rotary Hammer Drill has 3 modes of operation: Rotation only, rotation & hammer, hammering only.
It features Active Feedback Sensing Technology (AFT) which will shut the tool down if the rotation speed suddenly slows down.
The Auto-Start Wireless System (AWS) lets you connect to a compatible dust extractor with bluetooth, this lets the dust extractor automatically run when the switch is on.
With constant speed control, an anti-vibration technology (AVT) and a compact design, the HR007 will reduce operator fatique easily as the weight, vibration control and speed control help with this.
At the heart of this tool is the brushless motor that allows you to use the drill efficiently. As part of the design, the tool utilizes every bit of battery power when you need, all while reducing the need for ongoing maintenance by reducing the amount of heat generated and working more efficiently.
The technology in creating a brushless motor system allows for perfect symmetry between battery power and usage ensuring you get all the power you need, when you need it.

MAKTIA AWS
Makita’s AWS (Auto-Start Wireless System) uses Bluetooth technology for intelligent communication between your tools to eliminate cords, increase performance and reduce dust. Once connected via AWS, your dust extractor will automatically power on or off when your cordless tool starts or stops, running only when your cordless tool is in use. Using Makita's cordless LXT dust extractors with a AWS compatible extracto means no more re-plugging the cord.
MAKITA AFT
Makita's AFT is a Smart function to minimise the effect of kick-back. AFT will Shut down the tool, if the rotation speed suddenly slows down (e.g., kick-back). Active Feedback sensing Technology uses an on-board accelerometer to measure rotation and electronically turns off the motor if rotation is suddenly forced to stop. In addition, the torque limiting clutch is engineered to prevent gear damage by automatically disengaging the gears.
