The Makita DUR368L 36V (Twin 18V) Brushless Line Trimmer from ITS is an effective, efficient and excellent machine for dealing with weeds and unsightly overgrowths.

The powerful trimmer incorporates a loop handle for easy control and manoeuvrability while the 3-step speed control along with a reverse mode lets you control the trimmer in sensitive areas.

With a motor that is comparable to a 30cc petrol powered version, the DUR368L is ideal for medium sized gardens in dealing with lawn edges, light weeds and finer materials.

The low vibration and low noise trimmer means that you can use this machine over a longer period of time in noise-sensitive locations such as schools, office complexes and more.

Thanks to the brushless motor, the DUR368L can produce up to 6500 rpm no load speed with a cutting width up to 350mm.  The trimmer includes Automatic Torque Drive Technology (ADT) which will automatically adjust the cutting speed according to load conditions.

The DUR368L also incorporates active feedback sensing technology (AFT) which will shut down the tool if the rotation speed suddenly drops such as when it hits an obstruction, as well as when you are changing the tool attachments.

At the heart of this line trimmer  is the brushless motor that allows you to use the tool efficiently.  As part of the design, the tool utilizes every bit of battery power when you need, all while reducing the need for ongoing maintenance by reducing the amount of heat generated and working more efficiently.

MAKITA AFT

Makita's AFT is a Smart function to minimise the effect of kick-back. AFT will Shut down the tool, if the rotation speed suddenly slows down (e.g., kick-back). Active Feedback sensing Technology uses an on-board accelerometer to measure rotation and electronically turns off the motor if rotation is suddenly forced to stop. In addition, the torque limiting clutch is engineered to prevent gear damage by automatically disengaging the gears.

MAKITA ADT

Makita's ADT (Automatic torque Drive Technology) adjusts both the speed and torque of the tool for optimal pressure, even for the most demanding applications. During operation, if the tool is put under heavy load, Makita ADT Technology detects the added demand and applies more torque and speed to finish the job. This means that you're not ALWAYS using the tool to its maximum abilities - you only do that when it NEEDS it. This is help your tools last longer per charge and increase it's overall lifetime.

    Super cordless strimmer

    Bought this Makita strimmer / brushcutter to replace an old petrol strimmer which I recently sold. I picked this DUR368LZ model after after lots of deliberation because I Iiked the compact head, compared to others by Makita, and the fact that it takes 2 18V LXT batteries so gives flexibility to use many other Makita cordless power tools. Appears to be well made (Makita reputation) and was easy to assemble. It comes pre-assembled with the smaller guard rather than the one needed for the strimmer so the guard support bracket needed to be changed. Just used for the 1st time and I was impressed by the effectiveness (used on middle speed setting) and how quiet it was compared to my old petrol unit. Batteries both showed full power remaining after I finished my garden edges so well impressed. Happy with my purchase so far and believe it was a good buy. Great delivery service by ITS.
