Makita DUN461Z 18V LXT 46cm Extendable Pole Hedge Trimmer - Body

A typical Makita product - does the job, appears to be built to last, no frills. Great for hedge trimming. Would be nice to have a greater range of adjustment angle on the head, but cam live with that.

Good bit of kit, lightweight to use even when fully extended. Battery life seems good, finished what I needed to do with over 50% left. Cut up to about 7-8mm easily. Very pleased with purchase.

Not too heavy, very long and adjustable. Does exactly what we needed.

Great tool it’s light weight especially when fully extended well made I have high bushes and usually pay to have them cut not now lots of these out there but Makita is quality

Great product. Very easy to use, slightly top heavy when fully extended but that’s to be expected. Feels only slightly less powerful than petrol or fuel versions I have used. But the battery life makes up for it. Would recommend to anyone

Very much enjoy the upgrade from petrol gardening tools to this. It’s power keeps up with previous types of cutters I have used. Only thing worse I would say is that it’s less well balanced than a petrol hedge trimmer, mostly due to there being less components at the rear end so not a fault of the product. Battery life is very good aswel. Recommend

This does not have the 'grunt' of a petrol driven hedge cutter but it is very effective using a 5Ah Makita battery. It is simple to put together and can do a very good job on relatively light weight hedges. You cannot expect it to cut through thick stems. I have been using it on a slightly overgrown laurel hedge and the result has been very rewarding

Bought this to replace a petrol version. Why did I wait so long!! Really pleased with it. Light weight compared to the petrol one, easy to maneuver and the telescopic handle is so simple to adjust it was a pleasure to use it. Worth the fairly high price tag.

First impression was it wouldn’t be man enough but I was wrong it coped very well with the new growth and even cut through the thicker Elderberry shoots. Well balanced fully extended felt secure using on step ladder while topping out hedge. A welcome addition to the tool box

a great product spoilt for me by an awkwardly positioned on off button which has the be squeezed simultaneously with the start trigger. I know its for safety and all that but if the button was rotated 90 degrees it would be much more comfortable to use.

A great product but a little heavy for constant use. I'll just have to take more breaks. Very good service from ITS.
