The open structure of the grid lines eliminates the need for precise positioning, while the hook and loop fastener closure system connects quickly to the sander to hold the sheet in place. This, in turn, eliminates the need for another backing pad to be used between a regular hook and loop backing on an orbital sander.
The silicon carbide grit provides up to 4x longer life compared to standard abrasive papers. The open weave structure enables a more effective removal of sanding dust. This results in a finer sanding pattern.
