The Hitachi DS18DFLUR Lithium-ion Drill Driver and Radio Package combines two of Hitachi's most popular units; the DS18DFL Drill Driver and the UR18DSL Radio.
The DS18DFL Lithium-ion Cordless Drill/Driver boasts not only a 2 speed gearbox and 13mm keyless chuck but an extremely high torque, a whopping 41Nm, for a drill of its size.
The 2 speed settings on the DS18 provides maximum versatility for use into a variety of materials.
The Hitachi DS18DFL also has 22 position adjustable torque control for uniform results and optimized precision when screwdriving.
The Hitachi UR18DSL Job Site Radio combines a rugged construction suitable for the jobsite with fantastic stereo sound to a maximum of 83.1db at 1 metre produced by its 2 x 3" 8ohm speakers and bass reflex.
Rubber frame protection coupled with 2 frontside roll bars means this radio isn't only stylish but durable.
It has an auxiliary socket which allows connection of external devices such as MP3 players (lead required).
The UR18DSL even has a USB socket enabling you to charge your mobile phone whilst on the job!(lead required)
The UR18DL jobsite radio will accept any Hitachi slide or cluster battery from 9.6v to 18v (NiCD, NiMH or Li-ion) and can also be powered by 240V mains.

The 'Lithium-ion' batteries supplied with the Hitachi DS18DFL gives it the cutting edge when compared to its NiCD and NiMH adversaries.
No memory effect allows them to be recharged at a whim, meaning you do not have to discharge the batteries all the way before starting the recharge, perfect for when you start finishing the job in half the time! They are up to 40% lighter then a NiCD or a NiMH battery and do not bleed charge, allowing both you and your drill to go on much longer!
