The Makita DTS141ZJ 18V LXT Brushless Oil-Impulse Driver from ITS is a new type of cordless driver that has a high powered motor and uses a new innovative technology called 'Oil-Impulse' that is designed to replace the hammer and anvil motor that is found in an impact driver. Because of this change, the noise generated by this driver is severely reduced.

This technology, delivers 2 impacts for every rotation, so much the same as an impact driver. Yet because there is not hammer and anvil action the noise created is reduced to a measly 75dB which solves the issue of noise that concerns lots of people.

Also because of the lack of the smaller motor and lack of 'impact' action this driver creates a minimal amount of heat. Working with that along with the new brushless motor means that this driver generates barely any heat at all. Meaning that more of the power generated by the battery goes into your application and not wasted on creating heat.

The Makita DTD170Z is a brushless high-end cordless impact driver powered by 18V Li-ion battery and developed based on the model DTD148.

New impact mode (A-mode) helps to eliminate "screw cam-out" and "cross threading“ by driving at low speed until the start of tightening. T-mode: Tightening mode for self-drilling screw.
