MAKITA AFT
Makita's AFT is a Smart function to minimise the effect of kick-back. AFT will Shut down the tool, if the rotation speed suddenly slows down (e.g., kick-back). Active Feedback sensing Technology uses an on-board accelerometer to measure rotation and electronically turns off the motor if rotation is suddenly forced to stop. In addition, the torque limiting clutch is engineered to prevent gear damage by automatically disengaging the gears.
MAKITA ADT
Makita's ADT (Automatic torque Drive Technology) adjusts both the speed and torque of the tool for optimal pressure, even for the most demanding applications. During operation, if the tool is put under heavy load, Makita ADT Technology detects the added demand and applies more torque and speed to finish the job. This means that you're not ALWAYS using the tool to its maximum abilities - you only do that when it NEEDS it. This is help your tools last longer per charge and increase it's overall lifetime.
