A tough 3 speed all metal transmission makes the DCD985 hammer drill driver (combi) is a tough choice with 22 position adjustable torque control for optimised precision. The sensitive trigger allows total control over all applications and the 13mm keyless chuck with automatic spindle lock offers fast bit changes.
The DCD985 also features a bright LED light for improved visibility with delay feature and flashlight functionality. Please note that the DCD985 uses the new Dewalt XR Lithium-ion Slide-on style batteries and is therefore not compatible with any older style fitting.
XR offers eXtreme run time, increased efficiency and improved performance. By constantly monitoring tool and battery operation, the intelligent switch module maximises performance and prevents damage caused by overload or temperature build-up. This technology, combined with a tough outer casing and superb ergonomics means that XR Lithium-ion is truly "Tough on the outside & Intelligent on the inside".
