The Faithfull Countryman Turfing Iron is a specialist tool is designed to facilitate the lifting and paring of turf. A flat heart shaped blade is positioned at an angle to the long handle so that it can be pushed along the ground under each cut turf. By using a back and forth motion the flat blade will cut through the soil and roots to produce a smooth surface that makes it much easier to reuse the turf elsewhere. Made from heat treated (hardened) carbon steel to provide both strength and durability. Powder coated finish provides improved resistance to rust, scratches, humidity and alkalines in the soil. Fitted with a ergonomically designed, European Ash T grip handle supplied from FSC® sustainable resources and lacquered for protection against the weather. The handle has been designed to reduce fatigue and back strain and is an indispensable aid when lifting turf to be or moved and re-laid.
