The C18DBAL/L4 joins the ranks of the new Hikoki 18v Li-ion Cordless & Brushless range. Its a circular saw which combines excellent build quality with a lightweight frame and incredible runtimes.
Having a brushless motor makes the C18DBAL/L4 one of the most lightweight and compact 18v circular saws around. The new and improved motor doesn't have any carbon brushes in it, so energy from the battery is not wasted on generating unwanted heat or friction. Because of this we get slightly more power out of our batteries, and also a vast increase in runtime and overall lifetime of the battery.
This cordless circular saw from Hitachi looks to offer about a 30% increase in max power output over the older model. In turn it has a faster cutting speed 4100rpm and can cut arounf 66mm when at 90o or 45mm at 45o.
Silent Mode:
The C18DBAL/L4 boasts an impressive new innovation called 'silent mode'. This promises to lower noise output and improve motor effenicey. Once more power is required the Saw switches back from silent mode to 'power' mode automatically so you'd never know, but on low drain jobs the noise and energy about is drastically reduced making the saw more efficent.
