The Utili-Finder Detection hand held locater from ITS with passive AUTO detection enables the ability of knowing the location of buried cables is essential to protect personnel and equipment during any excavation project. Damages cause unnecessary costs, creating project delays and may cause personal injury.

Just trace the buried electricity cables outside with the Utili-Finder, marking their path as you go. Other conductive services including metal gas & water pipes and telecom cables may also be located if safety bonded to the electrical earthing system.

In the correct conditions the signal will also connect a signal onto other utilities such as telecom cables and water pipes; the Utili-Finder will trace the signal generated and by walking in a zig-zag pattern across a site the user will be able to mark the path of the buried cable or pipe.

The Utili-finder should be held at a 90° angle and not swung. Sweep the floor in a zig zag pattern ensuring the whole area is covered. When the visual and audible displays are at their highest, then you are directly over a buried service and should mark the ground, joining the marks indicates the path of the service.

When the unit is turned off, press the built-in function test button 'F' for 2 seconds and the ultili-finder will automatically carry out a functional test.
