Einhell 18V 3A Battery Power-X-Charger

Einhell's original charger. You can obviously buy newer models that charge a lot faster overall as this unit has a 3A charging current whereas later models have 4A and 6A charging currents. However, if you're not fussed about rapid battery charging, this unit is perfectly valid to buy as it will also keep your overall spend down. I purchased the switchable 5-8Ah battery, a genuine Einhell one, and I can confirm it charges perfectly with this basic unit, whether the battery is switched into 5Ah or 8Ah mode. A completely flat 5-8Ah battery in 8Ah mode will take about 2 hours 30 minutes to charge using this unit. Now whilst some people would want rapid charging, the 5-8Ah battery lasts all day for me and once I'm in of an evening, I can put that battery on charge and it gets done before bedtime. This also means of course I could put a second battery on the charger whilst I'm sleeping, i.e. having this "slow" 3A charger doesn't restrict me in the slightest even if i needed two fully charged batteries for a day's work.
