The Megger DCM305E Earth Leakage Clamp from ITS is a compact and easy to use clampmeter designed to check earth leakage currents while also offering TRMS AC current measurements up to 100A.
Built for the electrical industry, this earth leakage clampmeter is ideal for diagnosing circuits where an RCD keeps tripping unexpectedly, helping you identify whether the earth leakage current is excessive or if the RCD itself may be overly sensitive or faulty.
The DCM305E features six measuring ranges of 6mA, 60mA, 600mA, 6A, 60A and 100A, with an impressive minimum resolution of 0.001mA on the 6mA range for highly precise leakage current measurement.
TRMS measurement allows the clamp to accurately read both pure sinusoidal AC waveforms and non sinusoidal waveforms, making it a practical choice for modern electrical systems where distorted waveforms may be present.
A low pass filter at 50/60Hz helps improve the stability of readings on circuits affected by harmonics or electrical noise, while the compare function includes 3 preset leakage limits of 0.25mA, 0.50mA and 3.50mA with visual indication and audible warning when the selected level is exceeded.
For difficult access or awkward viewing positions, the DCM305E includes auto hold, data hold and peak hold functions, along with an auto backlight and a clear 6000 count display for improved usability on site.
