The Makita RP3203FC08 1/2” plunge router, a joy...

A decent 1/2” plunge router has been on my desired tools list for a while and this option from ITS of the Makita RP3203FC08 1/2” Variable Speed Electric Plunge Router with MACPAC case turned out to be a superb buy. It is a heavy but robust beast that works beautifully. It comes with both a chip deflector and vacuum attachment options (the latter works really well with a good quality shop vacuum), as well a guide bush for template work, that is well suited to a 12mm Straight Cutter. The 70mm plunge depth is an invaluable option to have on a router and makes easy work for morticing, with the right jigg.
