The Festool TKS 80 EBS Electric Table Saw from ITS is not only impressively compact and powerful, but probably one of the safest table saws available on the market.
With approximately 4000 people suffering from a serious accident while using a similar tool, the TKS 80 incorporates SawStop AIM technology incorporates a responsive sensor along with an intelligent cartridge to prevent harm.
If the saw blade comes into contact with the users skin, the responsive sensor commands the machine blade to stop within 5 milliseconds and disappears into the work surface. The cartridge releases a pretensioned spring and pushes an aluminium block into the saw blade. After being triggered, the cartridge is replaced in just a few steps.
The table saw, with MMC electronics for adjustable speed and temperature control, delivers up to 3500rpm, and thanks to foldable legs, will reach a comfortable working height of 900mm.
Flexible in operation, the saw is capable of a cutting height of 80 mm, a work surface that can be extended in its length and width, and improved flexibility thanks to the angle stop. With maximum precision, and fewer splinters, the blade can be reangled to provide mitre cuts while angle stops can be locked in to place for cross cuts and rip cuts.
To help with keeping your work area clean as well as ensuring your health, the table saw includes dual CLEANTEC Dust extraction ports on top of the blade and underneath so that you are able to see the cutline with ease and stay tidy.
