The Dewalt DCW604 18V XR Brushless Router from ITS features an all-metal motor for jobsite durability.
The Router is the first from Dewalt that is design to deal with a large range of second-fix woodwork jobs such as kitchen fitting, trim carpentry and remodelling.
Controlled by an electronic, variable speed motor from 16,000 to 25,000rpm, the router maintains speed under load, 55mm depth plunge, equipped with soft-start to minimise start up torque and an electronic brake to reduce bit coast down time when the unit is powered off.
Dual LED’s help illuminate dark work areas, an adjustable quick release clamp for smooth and secure actuation, quick release tabs for simple base removal, a depth adjust ring for fast accurate depth settings, an easy-to-use spindle lock with a large button and 12-position ratcheting lock.
The stable D-shaped base provides edge profiling and radius referencing and the router is also plunge-base compatible.
At the heart of this power tool is the brushless motor that allows you to use them efficiently.
As part of the design, the tool utilizes every bit of battery power when you need, all while reducing the need for ongoing maintenance by reducing the amount of heat generated and working more efficiently.

Traditional, Lithium-Ion batteries were constructed using cylindrical cells. This updated design does away with that and uses stacked, pouch cells.
