The BG WP42-02 IP66 20A 2-Gang 2-Way Weatherproof Outdoor Switch is engineered to bring dependable, high-performance control to your outdoor electrical installations.
Encased in an IP66-rated polycarbonate housing, this dual rocker switch provides full protection against water, dust, and impacts, making it ideal for exposed environments such as patios, sheds, pools, or industrial zones.
Its 2 way configuration lets you operate one light or appliance from two different locations, while the option to add an LED indicator - wired for on or off status - enhances visibility in low light conditions.
Installation is streamlined with BG’s fast-fix system, featuring no loose screws or covers and a 150° rotation mechanism, alongside clearly marked, backed out captive terminals that accept up to 4 mm² cables.
Finished in a discreet grey with neat inline switching layout and compact dimensions (44 × 44 mm). Combining rugged durability with user-friendly installation and high-endurance performance, this switch is a smart choice for any weatherproof control needs.
What does IP66 mean?
IP – Ingress Protection, relates to how resistant your product is against dust, water and debris. The first digit gives you an idea of the intrusion protection of the device so that means how well it stands up against dust and debris getting into it. The second digit is all about protection from water so if you’re working in an environment that is frequently wet or raining then this number is definitely worth keeping an eye on.
