WST-630 Wi-Safe 2 thermoptek smoke alarm from FireAngel provides quick detection of slow-smouldering fires, making it ideal for areas where electrical equipment and upholstery furniture may become a fire hazard. Wirelessly interconnect up to 50 other Wi-Safe 2 devices within 35m.

Thermoptek technology combines the very latest in optical sensing with a thermal enhancement, constantly monitors for temperature change and if a sudden rate of temperature rise is detected, the sensitivity of the alarm is increased.

This optical smoke alarm works using the light scatter principle. as smoke enters the optical chamber, its particles cause the infra-red light to be scatteredonto a photodiode light receptor. Once light hits this receptor a signal is sent to the integrated circuit causing an alarm to sound alerting occupants of the recognised fire.

If an alarm is activated by smoke, heat of CO, Wi-Safe 2 ensures that every other interlinked alarm sounds instantly (communicating wither by a smoke or CO warning pattern). Wi-Safe 2 products wirelessly link together in a matter of seconds with a simple 2 step connection process, creating a meshed network of wireless signals enabling an immediate fast response to fire or CO around the home.

In order to achieve the earliest fire warning, Fire Angel recommend that a smoke alarm is fitted in all rooms where the temperature is normally between 4°C (40°F) and 38°C (100°F), such as Hallway, Landing, Bedroom or Living Room.
