The FireAngel ST-625 Toast Proof Smoke Alarm Twinpack has a Thermoptek smoke sensor, making it less prone to false alarms from cooking fumes.

An alkaline battery powered smoke alarm with 5 year lifespan AA batteries included with test and hush button feature, as well as specially designed "sleep-easy" function to temporarily silence low battery or end of life warning chirps for 8 hours.

CE marked and Kitemarked to BS EN 14604. Thermally enhanced for improved detection, sensing technology of choice for the UK's Fire and Rescue Service.

Thermoptek technology combines the very latest in optocal sensing with a thermal enhancement, constantly monitors for temperature change and if a sudden rate of temperature rise is detected, the snsitivity of the alarm is increased.

This optical smoke alarm works using the light scatter principle. as smoke enters the optical chamber, its particles cause the infra-red light to be scatteredonto a photodiode light receptor. Once light hits this receptor a signal is sent to the integrated circuit causing an alarm to sound alerting occupants of the recognised fire.

Suitable for BS 5839-6 Grade F installations.

In order to achieve the earliest fire warning, Fire Angel recommened that a smoke alarm is fitted in all rooms where the temperature is normally between 4°C (40°F) and 38°C (100°F), such as Hallway, Landing, Bedroom or Living Room.
