Clear is actually brown colour at finish
We ordered clear for a new deck. This is what it said on the tin but on application it is three shades darker in a brown colour. Not what we ordered or wanted. Anyway gave it ago because of the excellent reviews for other users. For decks with knots it looks untidy and is dark in general. I would prefer a natural clear colour unless you are trying to cover up a marked old deck. Don’t know how it will fare over time. So given an average mark for this product, easy to apply for the top surface with a roller. Had a spray gun but did not use it because it would need to be cleaned out with white spirit ( messy). Anyway, wanted a solvent based protection for the deck as it seeps into the softwood deck timber to give it better protection ( IMHO). Water based are ok if your timber retains moisture.
