Series 1622 2.0 Bormax Metric Forstner Bits are designed to bore precise, flat-bottomed holes in wood, they can be used in any orientation with respect to the wood grain. They can cut on the edge of a block of wood and can also cut overlapping holes.
Constucted of alloyed tool steel designed to resist overheating for clean holes without tear-out, the new centring point allows pinpoint positioning, twisted tip geometry produces a cutting effect that in turn reduces the required feed force. New offset chip breaker flutes on the main cutting edges reduce effort and speed up drilling. New peripheral cutting edge has cooling fins, which lowers the friction and results in reduced heat development.
This innovative drill bit can be used both freehand and in stationary drilling equipment. It produces absolutely clean and dimensionally correct boreholes. Suitable for softwood, European hardwood, particle boards, MDF.
