The De Walt hedge trimmer sets up very easily and is easy to use. The angle adjustment for the blade is easy to use, it would be even better if it had a rotation option. The cutting blade was very effective, but at long reach would struggle to cut through thicker stems.

Good quality pole hedge clippers. I already had DeWalt batteries so it was good to be able to buy the tool alone. They cut well. The only drawback with all electric cutters is that the weight of the motor is close to the blades rather than at the handle end. This makes it a bit harder to balance. For low jobs I’m going to see if I can move the bracket for the harness a bit further up the pole. I got about one hours pretty constant use from a fully charged 5 Amp battery, which is quite a lot of hedge and enough for me to need a rest, so pretty good for our large garden, especially as I have two batteries.

Really good additional to my dewalt eco system. Just plug in my current 18v 5amp batteries and away it goes. Simple set up and works really well.

I thought it would not cut through an old Holly Bush and expected to have to use my scuteres , but it cut all thich branches and with useful cutting angles it was made the job easy.

Service and delivery from ITS was second to none and I’ll definitely use them in future. The hedge trimmer is a little cumbersome when cutting at medium height, but excelled when used for its main purpose at height. An improvement would have been to be able to remove the pole when not required.

Nothing to dislike, does everything it says, batteries compatible with other dewalt products.

It cut through all the thick branched hedges on the edge of property quickly with no issues, easy to use and lightweight.

I am a big fan of Dewalt and this addition to the garden kit was perfect. Powerful as expected from Dewalt and a fantastic trimmer. I have used many trimmers and pole trimmers in work and this is better than fuel or cabled ones for obvious reasons. It is however a little top heavy but you get a good workout .Highly recommend and a great price.

Love a dewalt myself. Great you can just get bulk standard without battery. And use one from other dewalt products. Not as light as I thought it might have been but.. made speedy work of my hedges in half the time of the old cabled trimmer!

Well balanced with a 5amh battery cuts with ease does what it says on the tin. Only downside is the head doesn't fold back on itself like a petrol set for storage so blades are always at risk of damage on pivot depending on how stored.

Somewhat heavy but doesnt struggle to get the job done. The length isn't adjustable but to be honest it's a lot easier to trim at a distance.

The service from its.co.uk was fantastic including the price. I was reluctant to purchase a battery hedge trimmer. However it is lighter in weight considering the machine and battery and is powerful enough to match most petrol hedge trimmers. I brought this model along with a 5.0 amp Hr battery and the unit just keeps going.

Bought this for a very high hedge. Works a treat and saves having to balance on ladders etc. With a 5ah battery attached did nt find it too heavy and had plenty of power left after finishing the job. It cuts decent ( finger size) branches and blades remained sharp. Time will tell though I guess.

I’ve had top line garden tools all my life - I needed a ‘long reach ‘ hedge trimmer , but wanted to continue my switch to electric . Having had to replace my workshop tools I choose de- Walt . Being able to utilise batteries is an absolute bonus. The hedge trimmer cuts perfectly - larger diameter branches than I’d thought . Of course with a long reach you must be prepared for a bit of hard work - but I’m delighted with this hedge cutter and recommend fully .
