Bought this strimmer to replace our corded one. Item was easy to put together and use. We are familiar with the batteries as have drills from the Dewalt range. Lighter than a petrol strimmer, less faff than a corded one.
This is the first battery strimmer I’ve owned. The reviews on this looked good and have to say it’s not disappointed. It’s easy to handle, and doesn’t struggle with some of the heavier work. Potentially could do with a shoulder strap of some kind if you were using over a longer period of time but on week to week usage it’s great. Very pleased.
Brilliant bit of kit, slightly difficult to understand the picture instructions but once assembled worked perfectly
Dewalt instructions are not great but there's plenty of help on YouTube to show how to remove the line feeder to fit the guard. It's well balanced at the handle but would benefit with a harness for prolonged use
Great piece of kit, I was happily surprised on how powerful it was I’ve only used petrol strimmers before and this did the job effortlessly. I used this with the new power stack battery which lasted ages. The one thing I would suggest is the option to attach a harness to it but other than that a great tool.

Really great strimmer, variable speed trigger is nice. I’ve had the string jam up a couple times as I’m not sure it has auto feed / bump feed? So sometimes seem to get to short and then goes inside the housing.
It's totally brilliant - love it to bits. Putting together was fairly easy, although I could not find in the instructions how to remove the strim line to get the guard on, but a quick YouTube video from DeWalt fixed that. Fire it up and it's just perfect. The variable speed trigger really helps.
