The uniquely designed string trimmer features a split shaft design – effectively letting you fold it in half for easy transportation and storage.
Thanks to the inclusion of the 400W Output brushless motor, the variable speed trimmer delivers a low vibration threshold for longer working without feeling the effects of fatigue while delivering up to 6000rpm.
The variable control trigger lets you adjust the speed with precision and control while he padded rubber auxiliary handle offers comfort as well as additional control.
With a 33cm cutting radius, the DCM561P1S uses a 2mm line to ensure the absolute precision that you would expect from Dewalt. The thick line and cutting radius ensure that you are able to power through weeds, undergrowth and tall grass with ease.
At the heart of this trimmer is the brushless motor that allows you to use the tool efficiently. Better than expected for 18V strimmer
I have always had a petrol strimmer and thought that electric and especially 18v for not be good enough for anything other than light strimming. Wrong this beast is robust (typical DeWalt) handles pretty much anything, and, best of all, it's simple to use. No trying to get it started. The only negatives are its quite heavy, although my wife handles it fine and loves it! Plus the assembly instructions could be clearer. Overall really pleased I made the switch from petrol to 18V. And I now have a 5Ah battery to add to the collection!
