This XR Tool Connect from Dewalt is a new concept that is just about ready to join the UK market. It evolves the current Cordless Power Tool market into the next generation.

Dewalt XR lithium-ion batteries already have an impressive runtime, durability and discharge protection. But now they're getting even better! This system involves a free downloaded APP (available on apple and andriod devices) called "Dewalt Tool Connect". Using this app, their device and their batteries users can see batteries Diagnosticss, set alerts and perform actions - All that connect directly to the Batteries CPU.

Viewing Diagonstics:
Users with a Dewalt bluetooth battery can view the charge state, temperature and connection status of said battery. From this point you can also enable or disable the battery and make it unusable. Perfect for end of day procedure or to prevent against theft.

Actions:
Using the app you'll be able to perform 'actions' on your battery, like setting what to do if the battery goes out of range, reaches a low charge state, or becomes too hot. you can even set time limits for friends and colleagues if they borrow you tools so you can be secure in the knowledge that they won't be overusing it.

Alerts:
You can set up all sorts of alerts to imform you if your battery gets too hot, overused and much more.
