What a fantastic machine! I've been a professional tiler for about 8 years now and have owned many wet cutters all of which tend to fall into two categories, either they are very well built, all metal and weigh a lot, or they are cheap, flimsy and fall apart after a few weeks site use. This machine seems to combine the best of both worlds. The cast deck provides a hard wearing cutting bed and the lighter construction of the motor housing means its strong and relatively portable. The motor is very much up to the job, since having the machine I’ve tiled two bathrooms with 10mm Porcelanosa ceramic, the cutter glides through this type of material with ease. I've also done a limestone floor with approx 12mm limestone, again no issues and it also handles porcelain without any real issues. Although I bought a separate Marcrist blade for the cutter, the one that comes with the unit is more than up to the job and produces a nice clean, chip free cut with ease. The main problem I’ve had with this type of machine in the past is getting soaked while using them; this machine is one of the better ones I’ve used. As long as you don't fill the water right up, there is very little spray and the draining ridges on the bed do a good job of funnelling the rest back into the reservoir. So, in short, it’s a great machine with a powerful motor, very well built and very stable in use. It produces accurate, chip free cuts, even using the standard blade and doesn't break your back when you carry it round. I would definitely recommend this machine.
