Our buying team is more than just procurement. They are responsible for creating all of the deals you benefit from in our catalogue and promotions, as well as for deciding our brands, product ranges, and prices across the web and retail. Buying really is the heart of our company.
Buying, sales, negotiation and merchandising, we are always on the go. Always a step ahead, making sure we stay ahead of the competition.
With such a wide range of responsibilities we are central to the company’s progression and growth and have played a major role in our success over the last 40 years. We'll be sure to play an even bigger part in the next 40 years (and beyond)!
JOB ROLE
Power Tools - Buyer
- Creation and maintenance of the buying matrices for your category.
- Research new brands/products and negotiate the best prices, promotions and rebate packages to maintain a competitive position in the market.
- To attend trade shows and conferences both in the UK and abroad, actively taking the lead in supplier meetings as required.
- Ensure all margin targets are achieved for your category.
- To be responsible for placing, forecasting and scheduling purchase orders.
- Consider stock holdings, sales and promotions, capacity and lead times.
- To maximising product performance using necessary reporting methods.
