The Makita SP6000J1 plunge cut circular saw together with it's guide rail offers amazing cutting accuracy and versatility. The SP6000J1 has an impresive 55mm max depth of cut and can also cut 39mm at a 45 degree angle.
Thanks to its flat outer guard the Makita SP6000J1 can cut extremely close to the wall - just 18mm away in fact

Have owned this for a while now.<br/><br/>Love the accurate cuts and ease of use.<br/><br/>BUT build quality of makita not what it once was. <br/>Have had to replace depth stop adjuster 3 times where thread worn out.<br/>and saw blade lock nut where head worn round.<br/><br/>Prob fine for more occasional use but if using daily spend a bit more on a festool perhaps.
great tool and cuts really precise... Wish it had the anti kick back feature as been caught out a few times hence the 4 stars but apart from that I love it
Nice tool, makita as always more ergonomically designed than dewalt. A couple of issues.... No anti kick back for when plunge cutting into worktops for sink cut out. A limit stop would do the trick but they don't sell them either. No riving knife but that doesn't seem to be an issue. The bosch plunge saw has no riving knife either. Also the depth gauge doesn't take into account the rail height.... What a clean cut though!! Really impressive for a site tool. Personally I don't like dewalt tools but there plunge saw does have anti kick back and riving knife. It's a tough one, I reckon if you can afford it go for the maffel, it's in a class of its own. Otherwise either makita or dewalt....... Or maybe wolfstar!!
Brilliant plunge saw made my job of ripping down sheet materials really easy. Good price for a great piece of kit.
